How was the site built?

The site was created over a period of around 3 months using state of the art web development technologies and approaches. Part of our aim was to combine the possibilities offered by jQuery and Flash with 'web 2.0' type community features and a high-impact and high quality 'look and feel'.

The site was partly inspired by Jonathan's trip to Vienna and a day at the Kunsthistorisches Museum where a number of Arcimboldo's works are currently on display.
